Dori Rose Levit was born in Sugar Land, TX and is now a Meisner trained actress living in NYC. She graduated with a BA in Acting and Minor in Psychology from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She is also currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology and Drama Therapy. In addition to acting, Dori has worked with people with disabilities for over 10 years, and has directed people with IDD in various productions. She is a graduate of the John DeSotelle Studio's 2 Year Meisner Program, where she also studied Williamson Technique, On-Camera, Clowning, and Voice/Text. A few recent theatre acting credits include: Off-Broadway: Laura in 'The Glass Menagerie', 'Antigone' as Antigone. Off-Off Broadway: Chrissie in Joshua Crone's 'Squatters', Carolyn Bryant/Sidney Carlton in Shades of Truth Theatre's 'Whistle in Mississippi: The Lynching of Emmett Till', and Claire in Eve Lederman's 'To Life' Directed by Frank Calo. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Long Island Film Festival for the short film 'Flowers', and most recently was also nominated for Best Actress for a comedic short at The North Film Festival in NYC this November!
